"We opened the first LGBTQ Center in Greensboro in 2018 to provide resources, programs, and support for LGBTQ People...Dedicated volunteers and staff provide resources and programs on a broad range of topics, such as healthcare, knowing your legal rights and self-advocacy, aging, or transgender issues."

"The Center is 1,800 square feet and consists of a lounge (with free snacks! and coffee!), a large meeting space that seats 50, two smaller meeting spaces, a resource library, and more."

Lenoir County Council on Aging does workshops aimed at Improving and promoting the wellbeing of senior citizens in Lenoir County. They do or have done workshops with Project Visibility. Below is the statement they included in literature the last time they did an educational and inclusion seminar in Lenoir County:

"Cultural Competency training for service providers on issues facing Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, and Transgender (LGBT) older adults: This training opportunity is available to professionals who provide a service to older adults living in the community or institutional settings. The programs goal is for all seniors to have access to available services without discrimination or oppression. The training will equip professionals with the information and resources necessary to work responsibly and fairly with LGBT elders and their families, improving the quality of service provided by reducing oppressive or offensive practices.
