"Charlotte Black Pride, a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit corporation, is an organization consisting of volunteers interested in promoting a positive image of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning, intersex or asexual (LGBTQIA) gendered entities of color. Charlotte Black Pride is an independent, non-partisan body not subject to the control or significant influence of any commercial establishment or organization.
The Mission of Charlotte Black Pride is to promote LGBTQIA pride primarily for, but not limited to, members of the Black community while building social awareness, embracing spirituality and celebrating the diversity that exists within our community.
The Vision of Charlotte Black Pride is to empower the hearts, minds and spirits of all LGBTQIA people, while embracing diversity, uplifting the community, and working to bring social change."

"Fayetteville Black Pride is a non profit organization based in the heart of Fayetteville, North Carolina. Founded by Alvernian Rafeek Davis, The purpose of Fayetteville Black Pride is to increase access to health and wellness services in our LGBTQIA communities, improve relations between "straight" and "gay" communities and increase safe spaces for the youth. Our annual Pride weekend will bring together community based organizations, education/medical based institutions, and people from across the country to celebrate the rich cultural heritage of our Southern community."

"Founded in 2009, Youth OUTright WNC, Inc. (YO) is the only youth advocacy and leadership non-profit organization in the region solely dedicated to empowering lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, questioning/queer, intersex, asexual and allied (LGBTQIA+) youth ages 11-20 in Western North Carolina. Based on 2010 U.S. Census figures, it is estimated that there could be more than 4,000 LGBTQ youth in our 18-county region."
