Notes

"The Griffin-Gracy Educational Retreat & Historical Center’s (a.k.a. “House of GG”) mission is to create programs, services, and resources that positively impact the lives, history, and visibility of Transgender, gender-questioning, and gender-nonconforming people. We do this through programs that promote healing justice, resilience, and organizing among our communities, particularly by and for transgender women of color, to remove barriers that inhibit our survival."
"Founded and led by Trans and gender nonconforming people and our allies, we create safe and transformative spaces where members of our community can heal—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually—from the trauma arising from generations of transphobia, racism, sexism, poverty, ableism and violence, and nurture them into tomorrow’s leaders. We currently primarily focus on supporting and nurturing the leadership of Transgender women of color living in the U.S. South."

Wellness organization dedicated to diversity and inclusion; offer ebooks and workbooks featuring insights from wellness experts and community events; experiences, including on- and off-line events; programming and curation for corporate and organizational training; diversity and inclusion workshops.
"CULTIVATING SPACE, COMMUNITY, CONVERSATIONS AND CHANGE FOR A MORE EQUITABLE AND ACCESSIBLE WELLNESS INDUSTRY."
"In 2019 we made the transition to only use imagery that reflected the identity of our members — BIPOC, LGBTQA+, and differently bodied people. But representation in media is more than just imagery; it's about providing the opportunity to tell their own stories by amplifying their messages. So we started two new feature series on holisticism — a monthly colun with Jordi (a community member of DIW), and a monthly feature on BIPOC or LGBTQA+ healer/practitioner. We instituted a company-wide inclusion rider, meaning if we are ever invited to an opportunity to be a speaker, podcast host, subject of a fewature, etc., an equal or higher value opportunity must be pitched to a BIPOC or LGBTQIA+ wellness expert, too. We also launched a scholarship and support series for all people who cannot afford our monthly membership."
