"Tranzmission was founded in Asheville, NC on April 2nd, 2001. We quickly discovered that amazing things can happen when people come together! Our membership includes nonbinary, genderqueer and gender fluid folks as well as trans women, trans men and our family, friends, and allies. Over the years our membership continues to change and evolve, and we continue to celebrate and nourish the incredible diversity within our community."
Tranzmission is a trans- and GNC-focused organization that offers educational trainings, name-change support, mental health support groups for youth and adults, and a list of trans-friendly resources in the area. They are based in Asheville, NC, but have some resources outside of their county.

"The National Resource Center on LGBT Aging is the country's first and only technical assistance resource center aimed at improving the quality of services and supports offered to lesbian, gay, bisexual and/or transgender older adults."
"All older adults, and LGBT older adults in particular, need to have certain legal and financial plans and documents in place to ensure that their wishes regarding healthcare, pensions, inheritance and more are respected. Because state laws vary widely, the National Resource Center on LGBT Aging has compiled state-by-state resources so you can find the help you need in your community. Please note: this resource will grow over time to include resources on health, housing, and more. Tell us what you'd like see. Read our disclaimer policy."
