"OUT! An LGBTQIA support group meets every other Thursday evening from 6-7 and is family and ally friendly." OUT! was founded by Angela Cousins and Reverand Sue Harrington in August of 2018. Angela and her husband John are the parents of 3 lovely children, one of whom is transgender. Reverand Harrington identifies as a gay women and is raising 2 beautiful grandaughters. When searching for LGBTQIA support groups we found that all were either in urban areas far from Canton or were targeting teens and young adults and may not be appropriate for families with younger children. Needing support and wanting to find families and persons like us, we formed OUT! as a support group that is family friendly and open to children and allies. We hope to provide much needed support to our LGBTQIA families in Canton and Fulton County, and in the process educate and promote acceptance.

"The Carl Sandburg College Gay Straight Alliance (also known as the GSA) brings students of different sexual orientations and gender identities together to meet new people, network with like-minded individuals, and accept each other’s uniqueness in a lively, safe, and relaxing environment. This club also promises to serve as a support group for those dealing with LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered) issues, homophobic harassment, or those questioning their sexual orientation and identity. By raising awareness of different sexual orientations and gender identities, it serves as a platform to make the general population more aware of the LGBT community."

--Groups: A variety of multi-age & gender community groups, to benefit individuals without any feelings of discrimination or isolation.
--Counseling: We offer individual, couple & family sessions. Individuals are able to choose from 30, 45 or 60 minute sessions.
--Training: Educational trainings to help strengthen the knowledge about the individuals identifying in this community.
--Workshops: Workshops that provide hands on teaching covering a range of topics based on interests of individuals.

For the 2018-2019 School Year: "The FHS GSA meets weekly after school. We socialize, plan events centered on acceptance and tolearnce, and create a safe zone for boths traight and LGBTQ students to be expressive or seek guidance."

"PRISM is a support group for LGBTQ adults and youth, and those who love and support them. PRISM meets on the first and third Monday of the month at 6:30 pm. Everyone is welcome, with anonymity and grace."

Local PFLAG chapter offers monthly meetings.

"Emmanuel welcomes openly LGBTQA people of all ages as well as their families and friends. Emmanuel has been open and accepting for decades, but on March 7th, 2013, we made it official by becoming an RIC (Reconciling in Christ) church as conferred upon us through ReconcilingWorks and the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America)."
